Câbler nos interfaces USB-RS232 ou Ethernet-RS232

Dans plusieurs standards de communication (et en particulier RS-232), on fait la distinction entre:

  • DCE: Data Circuit-terminating Equipment
  • RxD au pin 3 pour DB9, pin 2 pour DB25
  • TxD au pin 2 pour DB9, pin 3 pour DB25
  • DTE: Data Terminal Equipment
  • RxD au pin 2 pour DB9, pin 3 pour DB25
  • TxD au pin 3 pour DB9, pin 2 pour DB25

Notez que DB9 et DB25 ont les pins RxD et TxD inversés

Les ordinateurs et les adaptateurs USB-RS232 sont normalement DTE .

Les Cometh (Ethernet à port série) sont DCE.

Les CAEN (RS-232 DB25) sont DCE

Les Newport ESP301 (RS-232 DB9) sont DCE

Donc, il faut un câble croisé pour connecter Cometh et CAEN et droit pour connecter ordinateur/USB-RS232 et CAEN.

Les câbles DB9 femelle à DB25 mâle (Radiospares 116-3641) sont droits. Ils permettent donc, la connexion d’un DTE à un DCE.

Les inverseurs de genre DB9 mâle-mâle (Radiospares 116-4773) sont pin à pin. Ils ne changent pas le type d’équipement.

Configuration du Cometh Ethernet-RS232

Default IP: 192.168.1.253
Default port for serial: 2300
Telnet (administration) port: 23

Default serial configuration:

  • RS232, RFC2217 mode, 9600 bauds, 8 bits, no parity, 1 stop bit (8N1). No flow control

Administration mode can be accessed in two ways:

  • serial port (always 2400bps, 8N1):

Cometh must be in admin mode (physical switch on the device)
Use minicom or other terminal

  • telnet:

Cometh mustn’t be in admin mode
Use telnet to access port 23

Once in admin mode, type:

login root
root

to authenticate you.

You can then change the IP:

set net ip 10.220.0.X

enable the SERVERCOM firmware:

set prog enable 2

the serial link parameters:

set serial mode raw 
set serial baudrate 9600
etc.

Always finish with:

save
reset

to apply the changes.

In order to use the Ethernet to RS-232 link, the physical admin mode switch must be in OFF position.

Utilisez l’outil [raw-attachment:nfcli.tar.gz nfcli] ci-joint pour chercher des adaptateurs parmi vos liens réseau:

nfcli --list

ou configurer les paramètres réseau de l’adaptateur. Par exemple:

nfcli --eth_addr=00-21-69-01-0F-A2 --ip_type=static --ip_addr=10.220.0.71 --netmask=255.255.255.0 --gateway=10.220.0.1

Afin de pouvoir programmer un FPGA Xilinx, il faut passer par l’outils Impact ainsi que le port USB de l’ordinateur.
Par défaut, dans un OS Linux les drivers USB ne sont pas installés. Il faut installer différents packages, modules et logiciels pour atteindre l’objectif de programmer un FPGA.
